Lake of Fire
The Lake of Fire is an inaccurately named volcanic plateau which is notorious for its ever-changing landscape. The only permanent settlement here is the town of Conflagration, which has been built and rebuilt over centuries. But while most sensible Edenians would steer clear of this place altogether, small bands of intrepid Edenite prospectors have been making a living here since time immemorial.
Geography
The Lake of Fire is an erroneously named volcanic plateau found in the Peccatia region of Nunya. It is bounded in the west by Dükuhüo Aüki, the River Bidness in the south, and the River of Sins to the north and east.
The “Lake” is characterized by long, empty stretches of dark volcanic rock. It earned its name from the small “islands” of lush vegetated land which dot the otherwise barren landscape. The largest of these, found along the River of Sins, is the patch of land which plays host to Conflagration—the Lake’s only permanent settlement.
Other landmarks include a series of jagged spires called Mother’s Teeth, a collection of hot springs found near the confluence of the rivers Bidness and Sins, and numerous craters believed to have been the sites of dragon hatchings.
Ecosystem
Most life stays the hell away from the Lake of Fire. The hardy flora and fauna who call this place home are stubborn, tough, and adaptable. The frequent eruptions of Dükuhüo Aüki do create rich, nutritious soil, but they also destroy life seemingly at random.
Fauna & Flora
Hellfire Pines are abundant on the Lake, dragons love to nest here, and the sapient species of Eden mine the land for precious edenite.
Natural Resources
Edenite, the rare mineral used to fuel the Dwarvish Hämnare and other Edenian vehicles, is general over the whole of the Lake. Prospectors have made a fortune mining the stuff here.
They’ve also died in volcanic eruptions a lot. So, you know, there is that.
What is probable death in the face of possible fortune?

I love that turn of phrase! And yeah, that's probably what they're thinking.
