Cloning
While the art of Arcane Cloning has been a thing that the highest powered magic wielders in Eberron have had access too, cloning in 1999 has been made more accessible to the people of Eberron.
In the late 1800s a collaboration between House Jorasco and House Cannith came to fruition as House Jorasco looked to expand what they could do medically. The idea was that instead of healing broken bodies one's soul could be put into a newer body with less side effects.
With the creation of cloning also came the technology of Soul Transference, this technology would eventually be used to create The Re-born.
Cloning in current day Eberron is a controversial topic with many factions opposing the creation and enslavement of these clones. House Jorascos stance on the matter is that the creation of clones is as ethical as growing a garden.
Even with cloning becoming more accessible it still costs a large amount of credits if done through the proper channels but this has not stopped the Black Clinics from stealing this technology and providing it at a cheaper yet riskier price.
Utility
Cloning other then extending ones life has also been used in other fields. House Deneith is rumored to have clones of their higher ranking officers and have attempted to use this resource in fighting Ravnica.
House Jorasco also attempted to create a work force out of clones but with no souls within the clones the project failed.
Manufacturing
House Jorasco keeps their "clone" farms mainly in what was known as the Eldeen Reaches but they also have smaller containment units within the mega-cities of Khorvaire.
The Black Clinics usually have underground labs and abandoned factories in which they create their own clones.
Access & Availability
The average price of cloning done by House Jorasco starts at 100,000 GP and is only accessible by the ultra-rich of Eberron.
If done by Black Clinic surgeons the prices can be as low as 10,000 GP but it also comes with a much higher risk. Even with this price it is still out of reach for a majority of the population.
Complexity
The cloning process involves the growing of a body taken from the DNA of the original and the soul transference from the old body to the new. Both steps require expertise to get right and is a closely guarded secret by the Dragonmarked Houses.
Discovery
The cloning process was created by a coalition of House Jorasco doctors and House Cannith artificers.
