However, for comparison's sake, here are a few equivalents in terms of leadership roles:   Monarchs: In monarchies, the monarch often serves as the head of state and holds a position of significant authority, similar to the President Elect. However, monarchy is generally hereditary and lacks the democratic selection process seen in Libertalia.   Chieftains: In tribal societies, chieftains often act as the leading authority. While they might be chosen through a consensus process, it's often influenced by lineage or martial prowess rather than a democratic vote.   High Priests/Priestesses: In religious organizations, the High Priest or Priestess often holds the highest authority. Their selection process can vary greatly based on the religion's tenets, but it usually lacks the democratic elements of Libertalia's system.   Guildmasters: In trade or craft guilds, the Guildmaster typically serves as the highest authority. They may be elected by guild members, but their authority is typically confined to the guild itself.   Commanders/Generals: In military organizations, the highest-ranking officers such as Commanders or Generals hold significant authority.
