Zane Vanderbilt

Zane has full golden scales which have never been seen before people ted to think he is a rare dragonborn.

Zane was hatched to the queen of Feakrith with an unknown father. Zane spent his childhood growing up in his mother's dragon hoard isolated.  This leads to him developing severe social anxiety and a generally nervous disposition.    When he came of age his mother granted him permission to leave and explore the world hoping that it would help bolster his self-confidence. While he was wondering he made friends with a human named Stewart Hansen, the human saw the potential Zane had and the two joined together to create a transporting business. Stewart knew Zane had all the qualities to make a great captain but knew his social anxiety was a hindrance to the Half-Dragon, so he made himself the captain to act as a confident voice for Zane.     While Sailing the seas Zane gained the utmost trust in his crew Despite his inability to interact successfully they all knew he was deeply loyal to the ship and would do anything to protect the crew. This came to light many times when the ship would come under attack Zane would be efficient and never hesitate to save his crew via means that usually involved fire magic earning him the nickname 'fire bug'.   Zane and his crew were commissioned by the Wererat Investigation Bureau to transport them to the Pirate island of Skullcrook. Despite causing him several panic attacks Zane did seem to take a liking to the party even helping them raid an Illioss clergy ship.    Later on, the queen of Feakrith hired Zane and his crew to pilot her personal ship to transport the Bureau to neighbouring nations there the party introduced Zane to Nompac. A fellow half-Dragon like him The two had completely different personalities with Zane being an extreme introvert with high social anxiety and Nompac being very overconfident and outgoing. Though a connection soon grew with them as they both shared similar upbringings. The Two started dating for an unknown period of time after this it even got to the stage where Nompac had to meet Zane's mother all be it undercover - an event that left a deep fear within Nompac.   Eventually, the two Joined the Wererat Investigation Bureau in travelling to the Dragonborn homeland of Akadance to learn more about their heritage. Nompac was almost murdered by Rox of the Bureau as the lizardfolk were under the possession of the Ancient Black Dragon. Luckily the rest of the Bureau were ab;e to save Nompac, though he has been hesitant of Rox ever since.   Zane and Nompac joined the Wererat Investigation Bureau during the final push of Zriegast. After the battle was over the two got married and have retired to Akadance ever since.
