The Great War of the Second Age Starts

As the levels of interference continually escalated the druids soon began in secrecy to sabotage explorers with some reports that some druids had started to outright kill explorers. This claim was hard to confirm as there existed several dangers in the tunnels already but the claim itself raised tensions until eventually, a fight broke out. No one is sure who started it; god, druid, or explorer but it soon enveloped the entire wasteland.

Although the battle only lasted a few hours at most it had set the stage for an all-out war between the gods and the Holy Order of Druids. While the gods had more potential than the druids, only a few worshippers had survived the war with the great evil and so the gods were weak enough for the upcoming war to be an extended one.
