As tensions grew between the north and south of the Savage Isles eventually the plague infected the southern areas. Many politicians accused the northern Isles of using magic to create a curse and further fueled the will for war.

As skirmishes between the southern and northern factions increased in frequency, so did the spread of the plague. Although they had been warned before the war, many did not believe in the plague back then, and now it seemed like an attempt by the northern faction to cripple the southern one. This did not sit well with them and soon the skirmishes escalated to an all-out war.   Although many on both sides still argued against the war, it was too late and war would happen no matter what.
