Contact with the Azerketi

As the races of the Savage Isles required ever more space they soon began exploring the smaller islands in the northern part of the Savage Isles. Here they mostly did not find anyone, but as they reached one of the northernmost islands they stumbled upon a race of quatic humanlike creatures. They had named themselves the Azerketi and had already constructed a large town. According to their historians they had always been there since the land was created.

The azerketi has since then baffled many historians as they did not know of the gods and their lifespans are far too short for having been made by the world trees. As such it is still a mystery exactly where they come from and what they are. Some have since argued that their village name "the first port" could mean anything from them originally being aquatic and their race was raised out of the sea when the gods raised the Savage Isles, while others argue that they might come from a seperate continent north of the Savage Isles although no such land has ever been found.
