After more than a century and many generations of lizardfolk, since the first runestone was destroyed along with its portal, the war had now shifted all the way to the original portal.   Here the runestone was too large to destroy so for the first time they needed to actually kill a qlippoth lord before they could seal the runestone. This battle lasted many days but was eventually won and the runestone sealed, for now.

The battle was not without losses and even the archdruid of the Holy Order of Druids is said to have been wounded during it. It was only with the combined effort that the lord was finally killed. Unfortunately, the runestone here was far larger and harder than any they had encountered before. Due to this, it was instead sealed, in the hope that no one would ever remove the seal.
