The Burned Forest Wars Begin

As the plague slowly but surely got removed from the Savage Isles, the southern territories faced a new problem in the Holy Order of Druids that had slowly expanded the forest to be visible from Mil'el. Now able to focus on other things, the citizens quickly began focusing on the threat and pushing the forest back. This quickly escalated.

The Holy Order of Druids were caught by surprise when Mil'el finally turned its attention to their efforts to expand the forest. Although they had heard reports that study into magic was advancing in the Savage Isles, it seemed like a useless effort to them. Even when they learned that a cure had been developed the druids had believed it would take centuries before the plague would be gone.   As such the druids suffered many initial defeats, but when they finally realised what had happened, they were quickly able to turn the war around and push back.
