With each god creating races seperately from eachother many of the species soon met. However since the gods gained power from the number of followers and each race was competing to be the most numerous, this quickly turned most meetings bloody.

As each race met other races it was first on friendly terms. One god gaining power had nothing to do with their own god. However as the numbers of each species grew, so to did the space required to feed and house everyone as well as the envy from more numerous species.   No one knows who started the first wars, but they soon spread to all the islands with whatever race had the closest contact to Du'merh generally being the winner. The metal deposits on the Savage Isles had at this point yet to be found so the only way to get good weapons were by trade with the dwarves. This quickly settled the hobgoblin empire of the north eastern Savage Isles as the dominant race with everyone else fighting for whatever scraps were left.
