Ground Rise Day

Ground Rise Day is one of the most important religious holidays in the Savage Isles. The day commemorates the day the gods rose the land from the sea and created the races of the Savage Isles.   On this day each year, small miniatures of buildings, castles, and whatever else strikes the fancy are made out of sand, mud, or earth. These miniatures are then either paraded or displayed for all to see and many races even give awards to miniatures they particularly like as well as those made by children. The miniatures are then left outside where they are allowed to be eroded by wind and weather to once again become part of the isles.
