Syndicalism

Syndicalism is an umbrella term describing radical political ideologies and movements that focus on labor unions as a primary vessel of struggle or organization. However, there is no such thing as "pure syndicalism." Generally, those who would be called syndicalists fall within the communist or libertarian movements, but there are also liberal socialists and even some more radical liberal republicans that participate in syndicalist movements.   Though it is easy to assume that all communists and libertarians would be syndicalists in some form, many view labor unions as organizations that exist within the orbit of capital and are beholden to the continuation of capitalism for their existence. A labor union that is not explicitly revolutionary is ultimately a tool to smooth the class conflict between the bourgeois and proletariat. A prime example of this was the growth of national-federalism, an echelarist political movement, from the syndicalist milieu of Coterait. Syndicalist rhetoric and tactics were used by Alida Sabados and the Párt Nationale-Fédéraliste Coterát to promote a class collaborationist politic.
