Kaisan White Terror

The Kaisan White Terror was the period of time between the end of the Kaisan Revolution of 1333 and the Last War, marked by brutal repression against political radicals. Hundreds of anarchists, communists, and federalists were killed or imprisoned with no expectation of release.

Political Subversives Act

Primarily, this act made illegal the advocation of secession, violence, or other "politically subversive activities." This was left intentionally vague, giving the Etnofroura carte blanche to imprison hundreds of anarchists, communists, and even some republicans with very little actual justification. Then, the 'Fugitives' clause within the act stripped most rights from "political subversives" who fled justice. In practice, this allowed both state and non-state actors to target radicals for execution. Frequently, organizers would be arrested without justification, told to leave, then shot dead as "fugitives."

Gunpoint Negotiations

While unions remained legal, as part of the concessions to the moderates that ended the 1333 Revolution, Kaisa turned a blind eye to the activities of bosses when dealing with labor unions. Bosses hired thugs to beat or even kill union organizers. These tactics became known as 'gunpoint negotiations,' after the practice of hiring armed thugs to "stand watch" over union negotiations. In response, union members and other radicals began to fight back, and low-intensity warfare continued throughout the White Terror.
