Chantois Uprising
The Chantois Uprising was a rebellion in the Chantois region of Sorfait, along the southern reaches of the Vertaigne Mountains. The uprising was part of a wave of civil unrest that hit northern Jideran in the early 1280s.
In 1281, a miners' rebellion began in Chantois, caused by unsafe conditions and low pay. A chapter of the Communist International Circles was active in the area, and they began organizing and supporting the efforts of the workers. The rebellion was put down by the army, but the miners were given minor concessions, and one of the first labor unions in Jideran formed in the aftermath.
