1333 Muqec Revolution

The Muqec Revolution of 1333 followed the instability of Khahlanong Hlusa Mfa following the Red Week. In Byighfall, the provincial governor faced a movement demanding his replacement, to which he responded by declaring martial law and sending the Provincial Guard to arrest or kill his dissenters. A portion of the Provincial Guard refused the orders, and information was leaked to the leaders of the republican movement in Byighfall.   They escaped the attempt to decapitate the movement, and in the ensuing days, republicans, socialists, and nationalists across the region formed militias to fight back against the loyal segment of the Provincial Guard and the Khahlanong Imperial Army. The province was split in half, with Gugh Muqec forming in the western half of Byighfall.
