The Otlo sensed that another war was imminent; Accord was failing. While deities clashed in the Material Plane, there could be no peace between them.

The Otlo demanded that all deities must depart from the Material Plane, and reside in their home plane. In an instant they were gone, and The Otlo expelled their most powerful creations to join them. The mortal races were abandoned on The Material Plane.   The Otlo created The Betwixt - the plane between the planes - and the city of Hub at its centre, to oversee passage between The Outer Planes.
