Hiqra took her chance to exploit The Divine Accord. She sent her Umbra Army to The Material Plane, led by her two favoured servants.

Hiqra had spent aeons in hiding from her sister, but in her shadows she had created an army unlike any other in the multiverse. Vicious, brutal troops led by cunning, devious commanders, in numbers too great to comprehend.   At Nyva's violation of The Divine Accord, The Otlo was obliged to open the way for Hiqra's followers to access The Material Plane. As The Otlo is blind to all but divine beings, Hiqra mobilised her fiendish army. Once the way was shut, she sent her two generals - one to lead the line, the other to command. This brought the attention of other deities, but by the time that they realised what had transpired, the Umbra Army was spreading across The Material Plane, and all fell under its vicious dominion.   Deities sent their most powerful servants to the defence of the Material Realm, but the sheer number of assailants made it an impossible task to overcome them. The bravest and most cunning divine servants were kept at bay by the tactical minds of Hiqra's officers. Even from the shadows, her grip over the realm of mortals tightened by the moment.   A thousand years of darkness fell on the plane. Pockets of light were hunted out and destroyed. The mortal races were conquered, enslaved, and tormented. Resistance movements rose and fell like the Sun once had.
