  Alpha is the eye in the center of the storm of a galaxy. It is the shining jewel of art and performance throughout the known galaxy. The premier academic destination for aspiring creators to learn or upgrade their art and become courteseans. Alpha is a roaming space station or floating city in the black of space.

The Academy

  The Academy was the beginning and reason for Alpha City. Started as a school to craft the most talented artistis students of the time as well as a place to preserve the greatest works of history the Academy and now Alpha are singular with the galaxy. The Temple while now strictly a religious location is the core of the academy and called a temple for the level of significance it has to the Academy. The Academy is mainntained and guided by the Archons and the Voice of the Archons.    

Rulers

  The Archons of Art, often referred to simply as the Archons, stand as the esteemed executive board and revered leaders entrusted with the stewardship of each Academy Art. Individually, they assume the role of personal overseers of their respective arts, functioning as the prominent faces that embody and represent the essence of their artistic domains not only within Alpha City but also across the known universe.
  The Voice of the Archons, distinguished as the eminent representative of the Academy, assumes the dual role of being the face of both the academy and Alpha City itself. This individual is not only a peer among the Archons, contributing to the leadership and vision of the Seven Arts, but also shoulders responsibilities that extend far beyond the confines of the academy.
 
 

Arts

  The Arts or the Seven Arts form the cultural foundation of the academy, encompassing Rhetoric, History, Romance, Music, Tragedy, Singing, Comedy, and Dance. While most companions receive training in all seeven traditions, they typically specialize in one, with exceptional cases focusing on two arts.    

Professions

  THE COURTESANS   While Alpha City is famous for many things, it is really famous for the Alpha Academy which is the beating heart of Alpha City. The academy is the reason that Alpha City was created and the reason that it sustains. The education there is completely focused on the Arts. Apart from the courtesans, many influential rhetoricians, prophets, entertainers and officers have attended the academies. Planets regularly send staff and aristocrats to the Academy to be taught the mysteries of the Arts.
  True courtesans are only taught in the Academy, and begin their education at an early age. Only the best students complete the program and get their titles. On most planets and in other metropolises, true courtesans are in high demand. In some places it would be unthinkable to enter the political arena without a courtesan by one’s side.

Structure

  Most description do not really convey Alpha City, as it is simply a very large cylinder in space. That is an over-simplification but fairly accurate. Alpha City is twelves miles long with a diameter between two and four miles. It contains 75 square miles of interior that houses a population of 400,000 sentients.

Control

  While the Control Sector handles a vast array of responsibilities and situations the primary purpose is the external approach of other ships and the external city security. They go out of their way to elimate and remove external threats before reaching the station.  

Three by Three

  All appraoch ships are tested with what is known as three by three or 3x3. This is a combination method of ships signature, reactor energy rating and communication with the ship.   Each ships reactor gives off a specific power and stability rating which is catalogged and monitored by control. Any ship that has eregular reactor rating or apparent instability will be kept at a "safe distance" and minotored cautiously. Failure to heed "safe distance" immediatly causes this ship to received a tactical upgrade and be treated as a threat to the station.   Each ship bears a signature that identifys the ship, crew and history. This signature is scrutinized by analysic systems and alert crew looking for anomolies or irregularities. This can cause an upgrade to cautious treatment or threat level response depending on the details present or missing.   The final level of 3x3 is direct communication and visual monitoring of the ships external views. The staff are on the lookout for odd or distress communications. It is rare that fater reaching this level that a ship is turned away but has happened. It is also possible to receive re-scheduling based on attitude or lack of cooperation.

  The medical sector contaoms a host of advanced medical staff and technology on par with any planet.

Docks

  The dock sector represent the primary means of gaining access to the city. The Dock section includes shiping docks, customs, embarkations and maintenance. The docks cover internal docks, external docks and authrity docks. There are also dedicated dock for the Academy are both pprivate and secret only for use during important times. There are 10 internal docking bays and 100 external docking bays. The management and timing of traffic is a complex operation that Alpha City Control manages with impunity and strict attention. They determine the reason for a visit for example civilian, business or otherr and dedicate time slots for each ship in relationship to standards and the needs of that ship related to the scheduled traffic. Control and maintenance is always prepared to dispatch emergeny aid in the event of a malfucntioning ship and has been known to impose a "safe distance" requirements for ships with any type of engine trouble.

  This sector powers the city containing the fusion core and the dedicated fabricating facilaties and maintenance. Whie much of the core extends the central axiis of the station the primary bulk existing at the center of the stations length and diameter.

Support

  In space flight and exploration, a life support system is the primary and backup components of a spacecraft that address the core needs of human life. These needs include air, water, and oxygen supply, as well as waste disposal, and air temperature and pressure regulation. These systems have to handle waste in excess of 4000 metric tons of waste such as carbon dioxide, liquid and solid waste. expelled from the body.   7 Basic Components Of A Life Support System At its most basic level, life support systems must address seven core human needs. The necessary components of a life support system address:   1. Potable water supply trough water reclamation 2. Food supply 3. Breathable cabin air supply (oxygen generation system) 4. Transportation

  The primary means of transit on within the city are long axis mag rails that run from   Prime   Prime transportation is governed by the administration of Alpha city and used for official business or emergenies. Dedicated shuttles are on standby for medical emergencies, maintennance emergenies, law enforcement fucntions, and station emergencies. These are cordinated with in-bound and out-bound ship traffice and will trump all such traffice placing them on hold.
