Kindred Is Ready for the Presses!   New TTRPG-inspired superhero comic series launches on Kickstarter September 1st.   Aberdeen, Washington — September 1, 2025 — World Anvil Worldbuilding Award winners Stonehome Games have teamed up with artist Kati Drinkwine to release their debut comic book, Kindred, a Dungeons & Dragons inspired superhero tale set in the original fantasy world of Dromaria.   Launching September 1st and running through the end of the month, the Kickstarter campaign will fund the printing, shipping, and future development of this six-issue limited series, beginning with Issue #1, a 24-page full-color comic packed with magic, monsters, and mythic powers. The campaign offers exclusive rewards including alternate covers, name credits, stickers, pins, and more.   Kindred follows an unlikely hero navigating a world of political unrest and supernatural danger. Designed as a unique blend of western superhero tropes and classic tabletop fantasy, the series introduces the first fictional entries into the Dromaria setting.   “When you think of Dungeons & Dragons, characters have these amazing power sets,” says Drew Whitney, creator of Kindred. “So we took the shadow sorcerer and turned them into a superhero. Superheroes are like the US/western version of folk heroes. Everyone knows Spider-Man and Superman.
