Stewards of the Universe
Among all inhabitants of the Universe entire are subject to the Stewards of the Universe. They stand as the invisible hands of fate, that weave and work the threads of destiny and loyally uphold the balance throughout the universe. Their quandary counts for peacekeeping, transportation and logistical path-finding to implement and accomplish the will of the ladies of Life and Death.
The Stewards of the Universe mostly comprise of the divine ladies of Life and Death, Lady Asuna and Lady Lysandre respectively, as well as the numerous Oristellae, the children of the stars, that are created for the explicit purpose to serve the organization. Every member is endlessly dedicated to the overall goal of serving and seeing that the universe itself thrives and prospers.
Structure
The organisational structure of the Stewards of the Universe does not fall a typical or linear format, while the Ladies of life and death hold true divinity over the members of the order, all members are treated and seen as equal. Some may be bestowed upon superficial laurels in order to reward acts of exceptionalism or strong levels of loyalty, but these are culturally seen more as achievements and less as actual ranks in structure that hold power over others.
History
Lady Asuna chose to set up the organization of the Stewards of the Universe in order to set a banner and a standardized structure for the Guardians, herself, and her co-leader Lady Lysandre to function under. Although mostly considered a superficial act by the two of them, the Oristellae themselves consider it the Great Creation Date and the day that their lives had purpose.
Lady Asuna's intentions were to create a way to organize, manage and serve the souls of the universe and structurally create safety nets to keep the balance and see that no place in the universe falls into disarray or squalor. She did not fully intend to start a religion or a religious order, but the Oristellae hold it within the strong, unwavering reverence of one.
