Umbrahold

To most, Umbrahold is a myth, a treasure hunters' daydream. To some, it's a forgotten Zonn Ettyr stronghold just waiting to be found. And to few, it was home-- a city of sun and strength built to shine past whatever the darkness brought upon it.
Those fortunate enough to have step foot in Umbrahold tell stories of an almost magical place, vibrant with technology and riches now left abandoned by it's former inhabitants. The Solar Stronghold was one of the few Dwanish settlements to survive the Drow retaliation, and supposedly still blocks the continent's largest entrance into the Underdark to this day-- its massive iron gates blocking a fabricated enemy from reaching a long-dead civilization. The shame of Zonn Ettyr's defeat at the hands of the Drow superseded any value left behind in Umbrahold, and its inhabitants simply left without a trace, dissolving into regular society and never daring to mention their past misdeeds.
