Lud Dornfol Mushroom

The mushroom has a thick stalk, bit fuzzy. It's underbelly is very prominent almost bulging out of the mushroom hat, and it's big gooey and soft when pressed, and is what can be used to create creams and balms. The mushroom cap is rimmed with a bright yellow warts and freckles, squishy but not filled with any fluids. They protrude outward.   It grows along the roots of Cold Topine Tree, getting most of its moisture from melting snow. There's usually a small colony on larger roots, growing plentifully. They were easy enough to find, as they stunk from a yard away if they weren't covered heavily in snow.   Once discovered the mushroom's healing power, even despite it's stink, it became something gathered for it's multiple healing properties. Tan Laroholg was the first recorded to use it, making into a balm to spread over wounds to help numb and heal. If boiled, it creates a numbing effect that can last up to two or three hours. Using equal parts raw and boiled created the best usage for a simple balm.   It was a hard trial and error to get where it usable. She tried powdering and slicing it first, any ingesting seemed to upset her stomach, and didn't utilize any of its topical properties.   Even then, it would roll of her skin and be hard to apply, so she brough in the gooey texture of the boiled Obr Elo Fruit, and let it cool to thicken up and use as a hard glue. Using the bitter powdered rind of the fruit, she uses it to negate the smell, if just barely.   To get it right, she'd scrape the knife agaisnt the rind glue, pulling a little of the mushroom balm on the knife, and stiring that together. She'd repeat the process a few times until the color turned a slight pungent yellow. She'd make a small jaw, fashioned from small Obr Elo Fruit Shells, and cover it with a wrap to hide the smell. After all, the powdered rind only helps mask the smell enough to apply, and sitting in a jar the smell tended to permeate.
