Queen Titania
Queen Titania (a.k.a. The Summer Queen)
Titania, the Summer Queen, is the radiant and awe-inspiring monarch of the Summer Court, the heart of Seelie power and splendor in the Feywild. She is the living embodiment of light, life, and regal harmony—a being of such grace and power that even the wild magic of the Feywild bows before her presence. As Queen of all that blooms and shines, Titania is not merely a ruler of fey, but a sovereign expression of summer itself: brilliant, joyful, and filled with warmth that can nourish or scorch.
She appears as a tall and luminous eladrin of almost unbearable beauty, her skin glowing like sunlight through golden leaves, her hair cascading like liquid fire or rippling meadows depending on her mood. Her eyes hold the endless blue of summer skies and the wisdom of a thousand ages. Every movement she makes carries the elegance of wild stags and the poise of a sovereign whose every breath is a command of nature itself. Her voice, musical and powerful, can soothe storms or summon tempests with a word.
Titania’s power is both creative and commanding. Flowers bloom in her footsteps, laughter fills the air where she tarries, and creatures of joy and nobility gather wherever she turns her gaze. But this radiance should not be mistaken for softness—she is also a fierce protector of natural order and beauty, a queen who does not forgive carelessness, betrayal, or arrogance. Her wrath, when stirred, is like the burning sun at its zenith—blinding, inescapable, and absolute.
As ruler of the Summer Court, Titania oversees a realm where all is vibrant and full of motion: feasts and festivals, tournaments of poetic skill and blade alike, and courtly intrigues spun as art. She encourages valor, artistry, loyalty, and celebration, and delights in acts of heroism, romantic devotion, and inspired creation. Mortals who please her may find themselves gifted with fey boons—or entangled in eternal stories of love, triumph, or bittersweet transformation.
Though she has many noble fey in her service—eladrin lords, dryad queens, talking beasts, and spirits of sun and storm—Titania rules alone, her will supreme. She has no consort, though countless suitors, mortal and immortal, have tried to win her heart. Her complex relationship with her estranged sister, the Queen of Air and Darkness, and her possible familial ties to the Prince of Frost, reflect the deeper and sometimes sorrowful currents beneath her shining exterior.
In all things, Titania represents the ideal of Seelie rule: majestic, just, radiant, and eternal. To be blessed by the Summer Queen is to walk in glory and golden light; to cross her is to feel the cruel silence of a sun turned away. Her court may shimmer with joy and music, but it is never frivolous—for in Titania’s gaze lies the full weight of summer's promise, passion, and power.
