Saeyal

Capital city of Demul. It is home to a very grand and famous palace and the city is generally filled with nobility. A surprising number, in fact, considering that one might expect them to spend more time ruling their lands. Partly it's due to a seasonal cycle where they have always been expected in the capital and partly it's a plague of courtiers raised to titles.
  Aside from this, it's a centre for many of the Demul's arcane ward specialists and there is well-stocked arcane library in the city. Or more accurately, a section of the wealthiest library in the city (more like the collective collection of the nobility) is dedicated to magical matters.
  The palace sits on top of a hill and the rest of the city sprawls around it, becoming denser towards the banks of the Nupoñu river. Homes and businesses of the wealthy tend towards the westward side (although the latter can also be found in the centre of the old town) while more agrarian matters tend to be at the northern and southern ends.
