Kynfesan Mountains
Ancestral Home of the Lomyn
So far back that it has been lost to the winds of time, the Lomyn first emerged in the Kynfesan Mountains. They suspect that they might come from the magic-rich area that now feeds the waters of Lake Annur and the magical workshops of Lolussa. More than 1200 years ago, calamity struck the Lomyn and they made the decision to leave the mountain range in what is now called the Kynfesan Exodus. Most of the survivors headed westward and became the Taesáf. Others made their homes in the eastern foothills and are now called the Fansáf. But one troop of survivors did not leave the mountains. It is unclear whether they headed out initially and were later drawn back in, or whether they found themselves following strange mountain trails but they ended up deep within the fae-rich area of the Kynfesan. There they found a deep valley where life, for the first time in many seasons, seemed good to them again and they made their home there. They and their descendants are changed now, with bodies more like that of the mountain sheep than the other Lomyn have, fae minds, and access to the hearts and minds of all life forms around them.Magic-rich Area's and Unique Aura's
The mountain range has two magic-rich area's, as well as its fae domain. Some of the magical aura's on the western slopes of the Kynfesan are very similar to those on the Tolach Naelath but their boundary zones are far less stable, perhaps missing the influence of something like blue mountain vetch and the Naef Hares. On the west side of the mountains, Yinnuth and Asumin profit most by the magic-rich area's, especially Asumin as the center of the area is within their territory and solidly on the western slopes. The center of the northern magic-rich area is currently debated land between [PEOPLE] and a more nomadic folk who largely live in the eastern foothills and desert. So there's lots of strange magical stuff in the mountains, plus they have a big economic impact plus all the geographical impact of shaping the continent. In the outside world, the Kynfesan mountain range is considered one of the continent's defining characteristics. Even by the standards of mountains, which tend to be magical places, the Kynfesan are considered strange, wonderful and mysterious.
