Goat steeds
Bred thousands of years ago from large, rangy goats that roamed the scrubby land of eastern Dlynaeth, these animals are now popular mounts among all the folk to the east of the Kynfesan Mountains and none more so than the nomadic folk of the steppes.
The goats steeds are much preferred to horses, who require far more food and water and are much less study, consequently being only popular amongst the super rich in the drier eastern lands. With their longs legs, the goats present an almost gazelle-like appearance and are much swifter than one might expect.
Their wild ancestors are native to the cold steppes and desert that lie on the eastern side of the Kynfesan Mountains. These are much smaller than their domesticated cousins and migrate into the hills in the warmer months and back down when the snow falls.
