Al'Faydeh "The Improvident" Vuyyad
Duke Al'Faydeh Vuyyad (a.k.a. The Improvident)
The Champions of House Vuyyad
Pride and Providence
"You see those arriving in the cart that drives itself with no horses?" The bony hand of the hired ferryman points to a strange looking vehicle whose head was now opening. Out of it jumps a young squire, no older than fifteen, whose golden hair offsets the sunburn which covers his face. He hauls heavy looking weapons out of the vehicle and then helps his half-plated knight out of the beast of a cart. A golden symbol of a shimmering diamond is emblazoned on their armor. The dry voice continues, "Those two are the oldest and youngest recognized heirs of 'The Improvident.'"
A Scorc hobgoblin, unaware of infernal machinations, asks his chthonic companion, "Who is he, and why is he called that?"
"He is an angel, a fallen angel and the infernal duke they call Al'Faydeh Vuyyad of a region Northeast of here." Another figure stumbles out of the vehicle. In the shade of the cart, a vague halo could be seen over their head. Then another aasimar rolls out and another pulls themself up over the open door. "And that gaggle of clowns is why he is called that."
"A strong line of succession is not a problem, or do you mean to say they somehow blind him?"
"You're right. The name may have many meanings to do with them, but," the knightly aasimar and a more roguish one begin loudly arguing with one another, "I would not trust the succession to be safe as long as so many of them live. That is just the amount he has sent here to this tournament. His entire duchy is governed by barons and counts of his family that he has placed on their thrones. The way the devils see it, Al'Faydeh never plans on dying, and he cares not for the succession crisis that will follow when so many claimants decide to carve up his domain. There are less rules here than there are in your home about a peaceful transfer of power. If the angel were to die, then another frontier would fall to chaos."
"Then maybe he is improvident." The knight and the squire go to the sparring grounds while the rogue storms off to the nearby tavern. The figure with the halo begins speaking with a succubus and the other gawks at their surroundings. The sun seems to shine brighter in the spots where they stand, and many of the nearby fiends look at them in disdain, "Or maybe he is sure that he has not been as abandoned as the devils have."
Misplaced Judgements
Created before the Collision as a servant to a god of law and justice who ruled from Mount Celestia, the angel who would come to be known as Al'Faydeh served his lord faithfully even as other angels fell to the Hells. When the Collision happened, and he found Mount Celestia on the material plane of existence, he served the people as a judge, known for his harsh but fair rulings which helped bring stability to the region. When Saint Zeliah sacrificed herself, creating Hrothen's Wings, Al'Faydeh joined the Order to bring balance to the losses of the angelic host.
As a member of Hrothen's Wings, Al'Faydeh was trained to be a venerer who searched for and brought Aasimar back to the Order. He brought a ship to assault the janissary program of the Grand Principality of A'leclich, a venator project which itself captured Aasimar to be trained as troops for the infernal legions. His assault was seemingly a success as he brought many Aasimar back to Hrothen's Wings , but in reality, he and his officers made a deal with the devils in charge of the program where they helped perform rituals to produce more Aasimar in the region to serve both angel and devil.
The venerer continued further assaults in the region until the Order learned of his deceit. The disgraced angel fled his angelic peers and returned to the devils of the Grand Principality where he traded his fortress ship to become an Infernal Count. Now titled Al'Faydeh Vuyyad, the fallen angel had many children with many wives and concubines over his three hundred years ruling. Utilizing his children and prior skill around contracts, he diplomatically annexed the humanoid counts around the region and successfully usurped a ducal title from its weak devilish holder.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Al'Faydeh has two main motivations: Punishment of infernal arrogance and Replenishment of angelic sovereignty.
First, he wants to punish the devils he is in hierarchy with. He believes they deserve punishment as that is what separates him as a fallen angel from those angels who fell to devilhood prior to the Collision. No punishment is too harsh and no act is too far if it will bring about the natural order which rationally states that devils must be punished for being evil.
Second, he wants to replenish angelic strength. Anything that brings more angelic power to the world such as the birthing of more aasimar or the cultivation of divine casters is to be pursued to replace the energy that was destroyed when his fellow angels were lost in previous wars.
Personality Quirks
Ever obsessed with his idea of justice, Al'Faydeh will often attempt to ensure that whatever object he is holding is perfectly centered, although he will sometimes let it tip towards his right side when making a point.
Social
Hobbies & Pets
Al'Faydeh breeds jackals, some even claiming that he keeps a collection of jackalweres as assassins.

Duke of the Vuyyad Dukedom, Count of Wingcrest, and Baron of Dragonswatch
A Sexless Essentialist
Although technically sexless, Al'Faydeh was assigned a masculine nature at his creation which he views as his true identity. To him, gender is a set of duties granted to a group that a member must fulfill such as it being his masculine duty to sire many children and rule ruthlessly.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Al'Faydeh appears to be a very large and muscular human with black feathered-wings.
Body Features
Al'Faydeh's skin is plaster white except around his ankles and his his neck which are marked with black rings.
Facial Features
Al'Faydeh's eyes, lips, and nostrils all seem disproportionately small for his face, but they are spaced out enough from one another to seem about right. His sharp jawline only seems to make this worse rather than making up for it, but there is a strange beauty to this conception of what a human face looks like.
Apparel & Accessories
Al'Faydeh wears long white robes with a head wrapping. He often carries a flaming staff in times of peace and a burning two headed flail in times of war. At all times, he wears a sword at his hip. When war is declared, he cuts a lock of hair from each of his children he chooses to lead a legion, and when peace is declared, he shaves the hair and horns of his enemy with the blade.
Mental characteristics
Sexuality
Heterosexual
Failures & Embarrassments
During his time as a venerer, Al'Faydeh was deceived and captured by a Fey lord of the Gloaming Court, leaving him with physical marks of his capture.
Morality & Philosophy
Al'Faydeh believes that people are what their soul says of them. The devils who have a soul which was changed for their betrayal of their gods, are what that soul is. However, as Al'Faydeh fell after the devils, he believes himself to still have the just and moral nature which he sees an angel as essentially having. He sees Tieflings and Aasimar as having similar natures to devils and angels respectively
