Subpolar Climate
The subpolar climate, also known as the boreal or subarctic climate, is a continental climate zone in the northern hemisphere. It's typically found on large landmasses between 50°N and 70°N, away from the moderating effects of oceans. A subpolar climate is characterized by long, cold winters and short, cool summers. It is a transitional zone between the temperate and polar climates, often marked by vast stretches of coniferous forests known as taiga.
