Taras Númenost
Taras Númenost is the towering ancestral home of the Heru Númenost, chief of the Elvirim in Ostnúmenoron.
The tower of Taras Númenost is square at the foundation anchoring it to the top of the steep hill it stands atop. The six stories above it are circular, and it is topped by a tall, pointed, circular spire. The walls of Taras Númenost are of white stone, as are the roof and spire. In the sunlight, the building stands tall against the sky, reflecting the ancient gloy of the Elvirim of Ostnúmenoron.
Deep beneath Taras Númenost are enormous vaults. Some are filled with artifacts magical and mundane - jewelry, altarpieces, mirrors, and works of art - constructed by Elvirim masters and used occasionally in ceremonies or given to Elvirim nobles and heroes. One vault, however, is forbidden to all by the Heru Númenost and select members of the Hostaolië. That vault is filled with the remains of the Human landing ships that crashed at The Fall from the Stars, gathered by the Elvirim from all over the world and sent to Ostnúmenoron.
