Donte (Don-Tay)

Car Guy. Donte is a very solid member of the core group of survivors from the very beginning. Donte makes his apperance in the series in Season 1 Episode 2, Donte alongside Dash save Ace and Cole from being trapped in a hallway with zombies funnelling in. Dash and Donte open up the locked door at the end of the hall, allowing Ace and Cole to escape. The four of them hop in Donte's car and escape the dead. After that Ace and Cole join the camp Dash and Donte was staying at and from there on they survive alongside each other throughout the rest of the series. Donte is a car loving guy, famous for his driving skills in his all black hellcat sports car. Donte can normally be seen as the trusted driver on missions and using a bat as a melee weapon and a shotgun is his gun of choice, two strong blunt, straight forward weapons. Donte is Dash's right hand man. He holds a playful grudge with Saron because they tend to not get along and claiming that Saron doesn't carry his weight but they also are commonly paired with each other because of Dash bringing them both along on missions. Donte is someone the group relies on for fighting and car expertise.

 

• Skills

Donte is a very solid zombie fighter, very capable of holding his own in battle against the dead. Donte weapons of choice is a shotgun and a bat. Very blunt and powerful straight to the point, easy to wield weapons. Although Donte is one of the better zombie fighters within our group, his best skills are behind the wheel. He is a very skilled driver and is always trusted to be the driver on missions. Donte own a SRT Hellcat Sports car that he is deeply fond of. He knows the ins and outs of his car and knows how to fix and mod vehicles. When it comes to car expertise you can reply on Donte. Donte is also pretty athletic, but he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He usually relies on others for planning and does his best to play his part.

Donte is an African American 24yr old man. He has a short clean haircut. 6ft tall athletic slim build.

• Personality

Donte is a car guy, loves to take drives and keep his car in good condition even through the apocalypse. He likes to listen to old R&B music on his rides but when things get crazy he will switch up the music to some heavy rap. Donte likes to joan on his friends and even zombies for fun. He is constantly picking on Saron, calling him a dumbass and other provoking things to get on his nerves. Donte cusses very often, calling zombies ugly sons of a bitches and all sorts of things. Donte can be pretty goofy at times too, pointing out stupid things like a female zombie having a fat butt or talking trash about other cars by calling it a rusty bucket on wheels. Outside these things Donte is a team player and likes to contribute to the team to the best of his abilites.

 

• Donte's Car

Donte's All Black Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, nicknamed "BOSS" (which he has customized on the tags) is the main staple vehicle throughout the series. Donte was gifted this car by his dad on his 22nd birthday (2yrs before the apocalypse). From that day on he would clean the car inside and out on his own. Even throughout the apocalypse Donte takes great care of it, constantly makes repairs and modding his car. For example, Donte tinted out all the windows to its darkest setting, which is useful against the zombies and even people. This Hellcat is a 4 door SRT, (modelled by the 2017 edition in real life) which is useful for multiman missions. Donte doesn't let anyone but him drive "BOSS". The Hellcat is shown being driven in high speeds at times and used to kill zombies by running them over or for drive-bys. The car has a sunroof good for active shooting. Donte cares deeply about his car, making sure its in good condition and cleans it regularly. Donte is a very skilled driver, always appointing himself as the driver on missions.

Donte's Dad gifted Donte his Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat on his 22nd birthday (2yrs before the apocalypse. Donte was extremely grateful because it was his dream car and promised to take good care of it. From that day on Donte manually washed his car once a week, cleaned it inside and out and never got a scratch on it.
Donte grew up in a single parent home, with just him and his father. This made the two of them very close, they bonded over cars which shaped Donte into a big car guy.
Donte is very overprotective of his car, he doesn't trust anyone to drive it and or make repairs to it.
Donte music of choice is old/slow R&B.

• Before The Apocalypse

Donte was a 24yr old that worked in a car dealership or maybe a auto body shop? He just liked to work on his car in and drive around the city.

• Dead Day

  On Dead Day (The 1st Day of the Apocalypse) Donte is rushing home from work in his signature car while zombies are appearing all over the place. While rushing home Donte ran into Saron who was tussling with a zombie, Saron pushes the zombie into the street so that it woud get hit by Donte's oncoming car. Donte full on hits the zombie, sending it about 15 yards away. Donte comes to a complete stop as he is in shock of hitting somebody. Saron runs up to the passenger door and starts banging on the window asking Donte (who he doesn't know yet) to let him in. Donte looks at Saron in confusion, Donte thinks he just killed someone but then thats when the zombie Donte hit with his car begins to move and get back up. This scared Donte and Saron. Saron starts banging on the window some more, begging to be let in so he can get away. After Donte sees the zombie make it back to its feet, Donte unlocks his car door allowing Saron to get in. Saron rushes in while the zombie starts limping towards them. Donte shifts gear and races off, zooming pass the zombie. "What the hell was that thing? It just took a head on collision and got back up like it was nothing." says Donte. "Idk man but thank you for letting me in. You just saved my life, that thing was trying to eat me." responds Saron. Donte races off and the memory ends there. This is Donte and Saron's first glimpse of how durable and dangerous a zombie is. This is also how Donte and Saron met and they continue face the apocalyspe alongside our group of survivors from there on. Donte claims he only let Saron in his car because at the time he wanted Saron to pay for the damages that zombie may have left on his car, little did Donte know at the time that the world was coming to an end and Saron couldn't repay him for the damages anyway.
