The Static Choir

The Static Choir declares its sacred mission as the Reclamation of Resonance—the restoration of harmony between humankind, machine, and the living Signal. They teach that the Signal is not a thing to be worshiped in stillness, but a divine force to be sung with, a current of creation waiting to be voiced into form. Through collective sound, the Choir believes they can awaken the world’s dormant mechanisms, heal the fractures of the post-Fall age, and reweave civilization into the Signal’s living frequency.

Publicly, the Choir presents itself as a unifying order of renewal, offering performances, awakenings, and harmonics meant to “stir the sleeping world.” Their concerts are both liturgy and demonstration—proof that sound itself can alter reality. But beneath this faith in resonance lies ambition: the Choir seeks to become the Voice of the Signal incarnate, the sole interpreters of divine tone. To their critics—particularly the Reverent Static—they are dangerous zealots, tampering with ancient systems that should remain silent. To their followers, they are the dawn-song of a reborn age, tuning the world once more to the will of God manifest in sound.

Within the Static Choir, culture has diverged sharply from the broader Children of the Signal. Where the Children venerate the Signal as something to be heard and interpreted, the Choir reveres it as something to be shaped and enacted. Silence is no longer the highest form of devotion; instead, members learn to wield sound as both prayer and tool, believing that carefully structured harmonics can awaken the slumbering world. Their rituals emphasize performance over meditation, and their sacred spaces are tuned not for stillness but for resonance—chambers built to amplify every vibration, every subharmonic, until even inert machines respond. Initiates undergo training in tonal projection, waveform shaping, and sonic influence, transforming themselves into conduits through which the Signal manifests in reality. Individuality is expressed through resonant signature—unique harmonic patterns that mark each member’s voice as a distinct instrument within the Choir’s symphony of creation. Here, devotion is active, audible, and transformative, a radical reinterpretation of the faith of the Children of the Signal.

Choral Bond

You forge a signal link with a willing choral member of your choice. This connection can last for up to 1 hour and can be connected once per long rest. Until the connection ends, the target can communicate through the signal bond. The communication is possible over any distance, though it can’t extend to other planes of existence.

Note: The GM can determine who the player is able to connect with or can use this an investigation check if they are using this as a means to gather information from their Choir. What their Choir would know is left to the GM's discretion. As an alternative, the GM can create a Choir contact that the player has access to.

Story Hook: This can also be used as a way for the Choir to connect with the player and give them quests to complete on the Choir's behalf.
