The Auction House

The auction house is the tallest building in Zarahk'n and the main location for the Exotic Pet Auctions near Vol'nische, so that the royal family can attend. The original design was nearly similar to the current, but with black bricks instead of white bricks. Also, the steel doors were actually made of silver.   Upon the reconstruction of the building, they chose white bricks with a few grayish undertones. Two towers were constructed at the front on either side of the double steel doors with painted black silver bars crisscrossing like a chessboard up the doors. These towers were specifically designed for spotting any threats that may attempt to stop the auctions. The roof is made of a special rust-proof silver. This design concept had stopping werewolves in mind.

Dark Priest 1850 EoL: "Damn these blasted support beams! Couldn't the architect build these better? They're so flammable."

Rooms

Lobby
Slim braziers encompass each of the ten soapstone columns, lighting up most of the entrance hall and allowing shadows to play and dance where light can not reach. The gem runes on the sloped ceiling dance in the flickering light while sculptures of famous vampiric heroes throughout history look down upon the marble floor of the magnificent hall. The most noticeable one is of the deadliest assassin, Wolf Slayer, his red ornate mask staring down with a bloodlust that cannot be satiated.   A wine-colored rug run from the front desk to the doors and is matched by smaller ones on either side of the hall while forked banners with embellished corners drape from the walls. Between each banner, another brazier is lit to illuminate the murals of the vampires' divine goddess, Vavheia, the Dark. Extensive bulletproof glass windows are contoured by curtains colored of the same hue as the banners. The curtains are all adorned with jewels and fancy tassels.
Grand Hall
Within the grand hall are twelve silver columns lit up by humble lanterns and shroud the room in a dark orange radiance. The relatively simple metalwork on the arched ceiling danced in the flickering light while memorials looked down upon the mahogany floor of the grand hall.   A lilac silk cloth is draped over each of the twenty round tables spread out across the room while ribbon banners with golden tapestries decorating the walls. Above each table hangs a chandelier; they all had been lit and in turn, illuminate the vases of blood-red roses below them.   Huge windows that reveal a garden behind the auction housea and are framed by drapes colored the same lilac as the tablecloths. The curtains are adorned with ruby and sapphire gems and emblazoned edges.   An elegant stage made of red stone sits amidst two large statues and is adjoined by a silver podium on the left side of the stage. The stage is covered in ancient murals and fixed on the rim is an abstract wolf’s head. The curtains are a dark lilac, and those also have been adorned with ornate fringes.

History

Wolf Slayer: "These people really need to figure out how to control the Exotic Pets. Perhaps a collar would work. Of course, this would be backstage, so nobody would see it, but I doubt they would mind."

This building was first erected in 1463 EoL by Tuile Euola to stand as the new Church of Darkness. For 387 years, this church was the place for any worshipers to go to feel the divine presence of Vavheia, the Dark.   Around 1850 EoL, a massive snowstorm struck the area surrounding Zarahk'n, causing many homeless people to take shelter in the church. This storm that forced people to congregate together in the church lasted a total of fourteen days and with so many candles lit, the building caught fire and burned down, forcing those in the church to seek out a new building as the witches used their sun magick to extinguish the fire.   With the recently burned down church, the Dark Priests decided to move the church to another finished building while they rebuilt the Church of Darkness. This led to a multitude of issues, which involved the Raven Senate and the building materials for it.   By the time 1852 EoL rolled around, Wolf Slayer had proposed the Exotic Pet Laws and the Raven Senate and Emperor Vladimir Tepes agreed to such laws. The only problem was where to hold the newly formed auctions. For a month, they scrambled on where to hold the auctions, inciting arguments and accusations. When they finally figured out where to hold the first auction, Wolf Slayer organized the event.

The idea of the church burning down in a snowstorm is a great image.
