Goblins

Endemic to The Undying Lands, Goblins find their way through the Loci into the Spheres. Being smaller and less imposing then the other Ancestries they will attach themselves to other cultures. Often the in lowest rung of whatever culture the goblins find themselves in, the survival of the extended family tribe is the core tenet of their society. Fractious and chaotic, outsiders don't understand how goblin tribes maintain cohesion. Goblins will sacrifice themselves in droves to ensure the survival of the tribe.

Cultures

Domile Goblins

Cultural chameleons, they will find a need in that society and fill it. Often taking on low prestige jobs they work to ensure the survival of their tribe. Insular to a fault, Goblins will form tribal Ghettos in any settlement they integrate with, with tribal leaders negotiating with the outside culture for their labor. Different Goblin tribes will create separate Ghettos that they have little contact with and often are in direct competition with.

Fae Goblins

In the The Undying Lands Goblins are the most common subject of the Fae Lords. Typically relegated to the limited labor necessary for survival in the The Undying Lands. They range from simple farmers to master crafters based on the needs of their Fae Lord.

Wild Goblins

Separate from a larger culture the Wild Goblins inability to maintain strict social control leads to destructive independant behavior in the name of supporting the tribe. Leaders emerge and are replaced constantly as individuals provide more resources to the tribe.

Settlements

Encampment

Temporary settlements created by Wild Goblins, they will move in search of a place where they can integrate into a society. While they are excluded they will engage in raiding to provide the resources they cannot scavenge.

Ghetto

Within other societies, goblins will work to acquire housing for their tribe. Once attained the housing is turned inward, creating an Ghetto that is as independent of the containing settlement as possible. Using the services and resources of the containing settlement as little as possible they will struggle to make the Ghetto self sufficient.

Religion

Primarily, goblins interact with the divine through Pacts with Spirits. But as ancestor worshipers, they will also raise an honored individual to Sainthood. These Saints are specific to the family tribe. Goblins don't believe that they have individual souls, but that the tribe has a collective soul that they tap into.
