The Drive Chip
These strange little chips can be accessed by inserting them into slots located on Core Devices or special terminals setup for them. These small objects store data such as recorded imagery, voice, or text and can be activated to create effects equivalent to magic for the user. While the uses are almost countless in nature, they are reasonably common enough where there are needed, such as big cities or Digger's Guildhalls.
Manufacturing
Their complexity in manufacturing varies on their use. Ones that produce spells take much more work to create than one only holding text or voice recorded data. Even more so, the ones that alter the users body as an enchantment are near impossible to create in the current time.
Parent Technologies
Access & Availability
The are reasonably common, being how versatile they are. Many who don't know what they really are will toss them or try to sell them.
Complexity
They are very simple to use when the proper device is used in conjunction with it.
Discovery
These were found along with the initial discovery of the Core device, but have also been found all across the world. For a long time, many had no idea what they were and were discarded or sold as relics of the past.
