The Nameless

The fiercest of creatures one could find while fighting at the gates of The Maw or traversing the peaks of the Rhakhis, these undying creatures are documented as the supposed lieutenants of the endless hordes of monsters that swarm up from Below.   Little is known about where these creatures come from. All attempts to summon, interact with or learn more about these creatures results in failure - they seem to exist entirely outside the natural order of this world.   There are 7 nameless that have been documented, each given a tongue-in-cheek nickname by soldiers according to the rough accounts of their appearances or abilities. These seven beings are rare to see, but a sighting of one heralds death and destruction amongst the defenders of this world's surface.   The seven are:

• The Javelin
• The Monarch
• The Centipede
• The Thousand-Pierced Bear
• The Iron Tyrant
• The Pharaoh
• The Dark One

  Once thought to be mortal, The Knights of the Eclipse document that these creatures cannot be slain by any mortal means - either never being felled or returning from death generations later in new forms. Stories are told of the Nameless to scare children of the Empire into submission, or to scare them away from their curiosity towards the dark corners of this world.   Only Maerauko, the Terror from Below, inspires greater fear in the hearts of Men.
