Abomination
To stand vigilant against that which is cast out and hold at bay savagery. To spurn the taint of the primordial, for in it is only ruin and madness. To scour the abomination, for they are the spore of the Enemy and scourge of nations.
Abominations are not a species, but rather a general term for creatures influenced by the Primordials. There is no 'standard' abomination - they run the entire gamut of morphologies, attitudes, and physiologies. Some are based on pre-existing species altered by the Primordials, whereas others are entirely original creations. All reflect the prevailing urge of the primordial that created them, to a greater or lesser degree, and it is not at all uncommon for a single 'species' of abomination to be influenced by more than one primordial.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Abominations come in a staggering number of varieties, based on what they were formed from, and the particular influence of the primordial that altered them. Furthermore, since Primordials generally feel the laws of physics to be a mere suggestion, very little limits their form.
Genetics and Reproduction
Abominations can be created in numerous different ways - some are actual creatures, whether people or animals, from another plane that have been altered. Others were created from Primordial essence based on the thoughts of its 'targets'. Some Abominations can also reproduce by various means, so it is possible that an Abomination is descended from tainted individuals but has always been an Abomination itself, or that a purely created abomination 'infects' a non-Abomination being.
Ecology and Habitats
In some - but not all - cases, Abominations are inherently 'unnatural' in such a way they cannot live - or least cannot function normally - without the influence of the Primordials, and thus are restricted to areas under the influence of primordial miracles. Of course, some are also nexi of Primordial influence themselves...
