Ismark is the son of the late Kolyan Indirovich, the burgomaster of the Village of Barovia, and brother to the courageous Ireena Kolyana, whose beauty has drawn the insidious eye of me, Strahd von Zarovich. Known by his unfortunate nickname, "Ismark the Lesser", he has spent much of his life in the shadow of his father, struggling to live up to the old man's reputation and the expectations of the people around him. Yet, there is a quiet determination in him, a fire that flickers in defiance of Barovia’s ever-present darkness.
