- Rilla (Riller): Fellow, person, mate, bloke, comrade
- Bonza: Big, good, exciting.
- "Going bonza": Getting excited
- Rippa (ripper): A fight, or simply an event
- "Bonza of a rippa": A big fight or a great party
- Ribba: a fish, especially a fish from the rill. Not to be confused with 'rippa'.
- Zwee: Bad, dangerous, evil
- "Careful not to eat the zwee ribba" - don't eat bad fish
- Zwon: Elephant or mastodon. Not to be confused with zwee.
- Tarshoe: Tarshivel
- "Bit o luck, touch Tarsho's coin" is a common invocation of Gamblers in Cairnstead.
- Pinchoe: Terrible, unreliable, cheap, shitty
- Right: Can mean very, as in right hot, right dangerous, right wealthy. "He's right interested in her": he is attracted to a girl.
- Proper: Stronger than right, can mean 'literally' "He's proper smitten" : He is in love with her.
- Dead: Even stronger than proper. "He's dead smitten": He has found the love of his life.
Phonetics
- Generally, drop hard R from the ends of words, replace with a.
- Long i becomes oi, long o becomes oe
- Complicated endings are truncated into oe: Presentation would be prezoe, ceremorphosis would be ceremorphoe. etc
