Greyshoot

A grey plant the buds like a shoot and grows into a thin, tall slate grey plant. The Greyshoot is filled with minerals most creatures need for survival. With a tough and hard exterior it is a tough to great down plant, not only physically but within the body as well. It grows best in the dark location since UV Rays will result in a lack of germination within the plant. Due to this is best grown within Kalicose since The Cradle is the perfect environment.   When splintered and diluted with fresh water it can be melted down at a low heat into a gooey putty. Once it cools it becomes a digestible, sticky, and hard tack. This is typically referred to as Greytack and is a substance most Kalicosian people chew on daily. While great for the body it stains your teeth a light grey color. With Greyshoot nothing goes to waste, the dilution liquid can be used as well. The diluted liquid is referred to as Grey Extract, it can be drank straight, however most don't die to the bitter taste. Grey Extract is typically mixed with Ramas Berry Juice Berry Juice and put into glass containers to germinate for 30-45 days before it can be served. This mixture is called Slate Berry Beer which has a smooth, sweet flavor with a bitter after taste, and is the main drink within Kalicose.
