Iron Gear
The Iron Gear is an automotive garage, Owned and operated Maliky O'Donnell—the Iron Gear Specializing in land-based vehicles such as 4-wheel cars and buggies. This garage also works on low-altitude hover bugs. The Iron Gear is not really a business to be running to turn a profit but is more as a pet project and a distraction for Maliky O'Donnell.
Purpose / Function
It is a repair shop for all surface vehicles. It also works as a distraction for Maliky O'Donnell for when he doesn't wanna focus on the Iron Hands.
Design
The room is rectangular in shape. Offering the 3 car wide entrance to the work bays on the north wall. On the south wall is a small door leading into the office of Maliky O'Donnell and next to that is the door leading to the reception area to pay for the work done on the vechicales.
Sensory & Appearance
The sound of impact hammers fill the air, along side the sound of cursing and rachetts. The room smells of burnt rubber and motor oil. the dirt under their feet crunch with each step as they have given up trying to remove the dust and dirt that blows in from outisde.
Denizens
You first have the mechanics who work on the cars. about 15 who work there not including Maliky O'Donnell himself. After that, you have the groups of mercenaries that are there to have the cars worked on. All the denizens are generally very crass and have a sailors mouth.
Contents & Furnishings
The reception area conntains a desk with a chair behind it. a computer ontop of the desk. as well as a few couches scattered around to allow customers to sit. The work bays contain hoists and lifts. as well as rows of tool boxes filled with all sort of items that someone would need to work on a car.
Alterations
The shop itself started as an early barracks made out of cargo shipping containers. It has been changed and allowed for most vechicales to be drove in and lifted to be work on. The ground since the change has a thick layer of dirt that isn't bothered to be sweept. giving the ground an earthy feel.
Architecture
The Iron Gear is built up from gutted out shipping contaioors. being most of the walls of the building. There are a few iron gurters to help hold up the roof. A few parts of the walls have been cut out to have a few plain glass windows installed.
History
Starting its life as a miltary barraracks, it was used the PWA to hold units. After the conflict between Maliky O'Donnell's Iron hands. it was later repurposed fairly recently into what it is today.
