Battle of Blackened Skies
The Battle of the Blacken Skies was a series of skirmishes between the Martyrs of Salam and the Venom Of the Withered. These battles were scattered across multiple systems. Most of the major conflicts were between these two factions. Other factions did get involved either through trying to protect civilians or due to a profit to be made within it. The biggest battle within this sector was over the planet of Idarast. It is said there were so many starships that the skies went black. Part of the planet it simply littered with decaying and rotting starships.
The Conflict
Prelude
The Martyrs of Salam had been set up for nearly 3 years. They had started their hunt for the enlightened naturally Those who are enlightened would find each other and begin to rebel against the Martyrs. This new rebel organization would become known as the Venom Of the Withered.
Battlefield
Most of the battle was fought in orbit of Idarast. There were also a few battalions on the ground from the Martyrs of Salam. While a small gorilla force of the Venom Of the Withered fought against this ground force.
The Engagement
Most of the fighting was starship combat. But after the 3rd hour of combat, the skies were black with the debris of destroyed star ships. Parts of the major city they were fighting over. Now covered the ruined remains of star ships. The city where the fight on the ground was taking place has become ruined. Parts of the cities were set ablaze as civilians where still trying to get out of the city.
Outcome
The Venom Of the Withered has run off and they hid themselves away. It is unknown where they are currently operating from.
Aftermath
This has caused the Venom Of the Withered to go into hiding. Completely switching tactics from open warfare. To hit and run and political assassinations. They have also been striking at convoy lines giving what they can from whoever needs it.
