Shuino

Shuino, the goddess of water and ice, is a being of fluidity and contrast. She commands the forces of water, sculpting it into shapes of grace and power, from the serene flow of rivers to the piercing cold of glaciers. Her dominion extends far beyond the simple elements—she holds sway over the very concept of life-giving moisture, the ebb and flow of tides, and the balance between cold and warmth. Shuino shares a portion of her divine power with Xeos, the god of sky and weather—no, not Zeus, but Xeos, whose authority governs the storms and winds, the clouds and rain that shape the atmosphere of every world.

In the beginning, it was Shuino who helped Terras with the creation of life. It was she who brought the first water creatures to life, delicate beings born of her icy touch and flowing currents. These creatures, like all life, were shaped from the same primordial essence, but Shuino’s influence was evident in their delicate beauty and grace. As Terras shaped the earth, Shuino nurtured the waters that would sustain it.

Over time, something strange happened between these two gods. Shuino, with her endless connection to water and ice, found herself drawn to Terras, the god of Earth and Life. At first, it seemed an innocent connection, but as she watched him and shared her essence with him, the bond grew deeper. She seemed to soften, her once-sharp edges blurring in the warmth of his presence. And Terras—he is a god of earth, distant and ancient, made of stone and wood—yet even he cannot ignore the subtle changes in the wood of his puppet body, the way it softens under Shuino’s touch, as if her very presence calms the harshness of his form.

Terras is not one to admit his emotions easily. Perhaps he doesn’t even fully recognize the depth of what is growing between them. But to anyone with a discerning eye, it is clear: Terras, too, feels it. The way his form shifts, the way his energy hums when Shuino is near, speaks of a bond he can’t quite explain. These gods, it seems, no matter how they separate themselves from their true forms, always find themselves caught in the same inevitable result: love.
