The Eldritch
The Eldritch are an unusual race in the world of Corrigenda. As there is a population of only about one thousand give or take a couple hundred. They are not born but raised. The youngest of the Eldritch is Servalin at the age of one thousand, one hundred eighty-four years young.
Time is irrelevant if not for the limited time which one has to measure it.
The health of the body is proportionate to the health of the soul, and yet inversely proportionate the health of the land. When the land is unhealthy all life and health suffers. When the soul is unhealthy the body follows.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The usual perception of the Eldritch is that they are humanoid. This is because the largest population who recognize the Eldritch happen to be humans. Dragons who encounter one of the Eldritch perceive them as the form they were before they became Eldritch.
Biological Traits
In general the Eldritch maintain the appearance they had before their apotheosis. Though the beliefs of their followers can alter many of those traits. Thus if someone were to believe Servalin was a dragon then that is how he would appear to them.
Genetics and Reproduction
Upon reaching apotheosis the Eldritch do not usually engage in reproductive activities. Though they cannot reproduce with each other, they sometimes choose to have children with other races. When they do a portion of their magic passes to their offspring.
Growth Rate & Stages
The Eldritch come into the world fully formed and in their final stage. There are some who didn't have magic before apotheosis, but once they reached the status of Eldritch are imbued with magic of a type which cannot be compared.
Ecology and Habitats
The primary habitat for the Eldritch is the dreamscape. They enjoy travelling around Corrigenda as the whim takes them.
Dietary Needs and Habits
What the Eldritch need to survive is the adoration and reverence of the people of Corrigenda. Thus, when the people thrive so do they. When the perception of the individual Eldritch changes over time so do they. This is because they are symbiotically linked with all the sentient races. Because of their relationship, they will sometimes interfere in the lives of those who follow them.
Behaviour
The Eldritch try to avoid letting others know when they are about and will try to disguise themselves when they meet someone in town or on the road. However, when they enter someone's dreams they are there in all their glory.
Additional Information

Naming Traditions
When a new Eldritch arises the nomenclature "Eldritch of" is added to their name with the aspect they embodied finishing it. Though it is a title as well as a name, they are most commonly referred to by their "title".
Gender Ideals
The Eldritch have no use for gender as a personal choice since they are aware that the perceptions of them by the people can alter their very form.
History
The Eldritch are rare beings, who embody certain aspects, like humility and honour. They are "born" when others deem them worthy. When a new Eldritch rises, there is a fundamental change in the way folks see the world.
When Servalin joined the ranks of the Eldritch honour became something to aspire to. This is because he embodied honour in everything he did throughout his life.
