Hair Colour

It is nice to see people with interesting hair colours. Some people are trying to use their cosmetics in their hair instead of on their face. This seems to have many different affects on their hair.

Utility

Most often hair colour is used to dye hair in order to hide the grey. Some use the product to change their hair colour. Like other cosmetics it is utilized to delay the encroaching appearance of getting older. Hair colour is widely used in the theatre as well, to create the image of the character as denoted in the script.

Manufacturing

The process of making hair colours is similar to the process of crafting cosmetics. After the drying process, the cake is then ground into a powder and placed into waxed leather bags along with an oil to mix into the powder before applying it to hair.

Social Impact

This was widely accepted among the population of many countries, mostly among the older people who wish to regain their youthful appearance. Once the younger generation saw the difference it made in the older generation they too began to purchase and utilize the product.

Have you seen Lannah's hair recently? I mean it is looking better than it has in years. I wonder what she has done to get her hair to look so good?

Access & Availability

Hair colour has the same availability as all other cosmetics from the guild.

Discovery

Like most things in the Cosmetics Guild, the discovery of hair dye was an accident. How it happened, was one member transferring a bowl of wet henna to the drying table tripped and fell face-first into the bowl. The wet henna covered their hair, and because they now had to make up a new batch quickly and get it to the drying table before the rest had dried too much, they couldn't wash it out until after their shift.
