Family names

Flora elves have two levels of status, noble and commoner. There are five noble houses, Beith, Ailm, Coll, Dair (or Duir), and Eadha. The following list of names are the commoner families; Feàrn, Gort, Huath, Iogh, Luis, Muin, Nuin, Onn, Peith Bhog, Ruis, Suil, Teine, and Ur.

It is not uncommon for there to be marriages between the two classes. When this happens the commoner takes on the family name of the noble regardless of gender.

Culture

Common Etiquette rules

In polite society it is considered rude to turn down an offered cup of tea when visiting a flora elf. When greeting it is customary to say "I see you." This gives them the opportunity to reply in kind, or not. If they are not busy they will respond, however if they are busy they will not respond. If a flora elf is already talking to someone it is polite to continue walking without saying anything. They will speak to you if they wish to include you in the conversation.

Common Dress code

Everything worn by flora elves comes from the forest, from hides and leather, to cloth crafted from wild grasses and needles. They feel that the only way to dress is in natural materials with as little change to its original state.

Art & Architecture

Flora elves grow their homes, shops, and furniture. In other words they live in complete harmony with nature. They grow their musical instruments and harvest them like they are pruning a bush. Stringed instruments are strung with sinew from animals they have hunted for food and clothing.

Foods & Cuisine

These elves are connoisseurs and crafters of tea. As such, tea is served at every meal. Everything found in the pantry is either grown or hunted within the forest where they live. The meats they prefer are coney, deer, brook and river fish, and fowl.
