Capitolist Faction
Theydim is Warring from Within
When my father died, I was to take his place as High King. I have been raised to this position my entire life. I am not my father, yes, but we are not in a time where we need a leader claiming they were cut from the same cloth as my father. We cannot cling to the past when the past is no longer a system that will work. Kerlbror claims we have enemies waiting to strike when we are weakest, but he is tearing Theydim apart with this war, weakening us for them. Standing as lone Arlings against the world would be like welcoming defeat to our hearths. We need to come together and follow my father's dream - we are all Thydian first, wherever we are from within Theydim.
The Capitolists are the western-based faction of the Thydian Civil War, named because the Arle of Capital started it. In general, the alliance was built on the foundational belief that Magnusdotr is the legitimate heir needed by Theydim, or her supporters.
Capitolists support the Unification of Theydim Treaty's current terms and generally want to supplement it with additional terms. In contrast, the primary opposition, Ostufer's Faction, intends to remove several aspects the Capitolists claim to be vital. One of these terms is to formalize borders between Arlings. A mere generation prior, Arlings used to change boundaries based on towns and regions petitioning another Arle to claim their town or region, causing cartography issues.
Ostufer has taken in Arlings, who had petitioned to join after the crippling debts amassed from the Unification Wars, and then the Great War less than a full generation later. This is how we have always been - Arlings rise and fall as their leaders can defend or support, and when they fall, another Arling will take them. The Treaty has halted this pattern, our tradition. If an Arle is unsuitable to rule, the people should be allowed to refuse that Arle's protection and turn to another. The late High King faltered when he promised smaller Arlings the permanence of their borders. He faltered when the economy showed who is truly supporting whom. The larger Arlings are being punished when we should not be punishing them for past successes, but rather preparing for the next Great War.
"We are all a united Theydim."
(Not a Copyright right here, just asking that To-Do, viewable by everyone be looked at from time to time and someone comment on it to remind me it exists - Also if people would comment on Glossary of Terms with terms they come across and think should be included, that would be wonderful)

Theme was mostly stapled together with parts of Scripture Theme, World Anvil Base Theme, and Elven Forest designed by Whitemace, Maybe TJ Trewin, and I know for certain TJ Trewin, in that order. Your CSS is coming along great, it's super pretty and cohesive(minus the red hover on the backtoworld button). Since you're closer to done, I think it's time that I gave this a proper read(to return the favor of course :P). In your quotes, you always use quotation marks; I just figured I'd mention that, in bodies of nothing but quotation, you don't need the quotation marks. It's clear that the whole thing was spoken by the cited individual. Your tooltips add both nice character and somewhat useful pronunciation huised. They're pretty effective. I'd suggest moving the tooltip "High King is a gender-neutral term" to "her" instead of "heir" since we don't know the gender of the person until that point(mostly because that name is sufficiently non-English). Do you have an image of the banner? I'd love to see it as a visual representation instead of just a description(unless I'm even more blind than I thought). "- Guild communications with Magnusdotr" For some reason, this citation of the author is simple text? It looks really weird compared to the other quotes(I know, it's a different box, but the font is still weird). It's probably just a small CSS problem. On the word "abomination," you don't capitalize your tooltip I read through the history but it's super dense so I was more focused on the lore. It's a really interesting and very complex. I didn't notice any glaring typos, so it's pretty solid. Great work here, Lyraine!
I had an image of the banner in earlier versions of the article, but decided not to keep it as it was visually jarring (and I felt it was busy-feeling for a banner, so it's still under revision before I return to finalize the banner's description).
The citation of authors in the document-looking containers are all currently in the base font to try and make it look more like it was written rather than spoken
The history I don't mind that your skimmed over, because if you had clicked their links, you'd find that they're mostly blank other than their titles and dates, and the lore was the more important part for me as the author.
Ack! another inconsistency to catch with the tooltips! I also forgot that Tilde wasn't obviously a female name for everyone, so it's handy to have people point out the "Hey, uh, what?" for me.
I'm glad you enjoyed reading the article!
