Asmodeus, The Archfiend
Risen God of Tyranny, Slavery, Contracts, and Pride
In the process of compiling and collating available information on the activities of The Obliviator and his faithful across the cosmos, I seem to have stumbled upon an interesting statistical phenomenon - the meaning of which, I admit, still eludes me. Thus far, the activities of The Obliviator and his faithful have interfered with other deities with the goal of their eventual destruction with alarming consistency - by my estimations, these efforts have made contact with, interfered with, or made plans to do so against nearly 95% of all Deity-level figures in the entire Cosmology. Save, that is, for a very small handful of exceptions - the Risen Deity known in the Materia Sphere as Savusonn, the Minor Deity known in the same as Baldr, and rather curiously, the Lord of Malefacta - Master of the Nine Hells. Whereas many of these exceptions are expected or even understood as relationships of respect(or even reverence), the faiths of The Obliviator and the Lord of Malefacta almost seem to go out of their way to avoid the other. Why? Thus far, I haven't reached a satisfactory answer. All available data suggests tThe Obliviator and the Lord of Malefacta should be at each other's throats - ideologically, psychologically, and even physically - yet, they are not. The Master of Malefacta bears no traits that should endear him to The Horseman of Death - his mastery of Hellfire alone, and thus his desire to absorb the souls of the cosmos into Malefacta, should make him a diametrically opposed entity for parasitic Gehenna and its Horsemen; an enemy with whom there could be no parlay. This highly unusual relationship bears further investigation. In all likelihood, it bodes ill for this cosmos - if the Horsemen of Gehenna seek an alliance with Malefacta, it must be stopped at all costs. I recommend a full host be sent with all due haste to Malefacta - perhaps the General of the 8th Gate. Hallais' Right Hand should do nicely. Attach a few of our own men in secret to the host, and we may just gather information on the nature of this agreement.Titles: The Archfiend, The Prince of hell, Lord of the Pit, The First, Prince of Devils, Lord of the Nine Favored Weapon: Mace Alignment: Lawful Evil Church Moniker: The Asmodean Church Obedience: Using a ruby-bladed knife, inscribe symmetrical cuts into the flesh of yourself or another creature—preferably an unwilling sentient being you own or hold dominion over. The blade may be solid ruby or forged of metal and edged with serrated ruby fragments(Devout priests of Asmodeus often take pride in crafting elaborate daggers made entirely of ruby). Once the cuts have been made, chant the opening stanzas of the Unholy Choir's communion and invoke one of the ten rituals of Malefacta on the body the cuts were inscribed upon to fill it with the essences of the chosen layer. Effect: Any fire resistance or immunity you possess also functions against Hellfire and Godfire. You gain two damnation feats of your choice as bonus feats ignoring prerequisites, and can at-will corrupt nearby sources of mundane fire into eternally burning Hellfire - the larger the fire source, the longer it takes to corrupt it.

Tenets of Faith
Shackle the weak. Conquer the weak and unworthy - those who cannot stand up for themselves must kneel before others.
Obey the Unholy Hierarchy. Never openly defy a superior. Pay tribute and speak flattery where both are due, but do not be fooled by either.
Order begets power. Where there is Order, there is opportunity - establish it and manipulate it to serve the ends of The Archfiend and in turn your own.
The systems of Order must run without waste. Let no creature or resource be wasted and ensure rightful governance and oversight to all beneath the system.
Wield the forked tongue. Seek your victories in the pages of the contracts you write and deals you make. Outwit your foes with negotiation, and best them with your wiles and cunning.

History
As the architect of Tiamat's downfall, Asmodeus is the creature responsible for the downfall of Bahamut's other half, the Chromatic Queen...supposedly having betrayed his former ally in a bid to rid himself of the only creature to truly ever threaten his dominion over The Nine Hells, Asmodeus was said to have persuaded the other Major Gods of the danger of Tiamat's continued existence...that while she was balancing out Bahamut, the threat of allowing her to continue her dominion of evil and chromatic dragons and tyranny itself might one day lead to a greater threat to the planescape than the likes of Vvaal, The Bound Obliterator himself. And so came Tiamat's downfall...at the hands of the other gods, she was yoked, and a divine spell was cast by the gods who did so to wipe her name from the minds of all who followed her...thus obliterating her faith and causing her to fade from power and reality altogether. With his better half gone, Bahamut flew into a mournful rage that would not cease for millennia, and was said to be the direct cause for his ascension to becoming a War God, driven by the wrath of betrayal that saw his mate slain...and without Tiamat to curb his over idealistic goodness, he soon became a force for absolute goodly law in the Planescape whose tyranny at times could rival Asmodeus himself. After her death and vanishing, Tiamat was posthumously inducted into the ranks of The Anathema Gods at the insistence of Asmodeus himself, with whom the Major Gods begrudgingly agreed.

History
As the creation of the lord of the nine in such ancient times before the gods established The Divine Gate and left the material plane, The Chained Lady was created originally to serve as a hideous general in the armies of the Lord of the Nine's Devil Legions, a Demigoddess who would serve as an invincible shock trooper and force commander in his eternal battles against his divine rivals. Left behind and abandoned with the establishment of the Divine Gate, the Chained Lady soon fell into a languid torpor with the loss of her power source and her connection to the Lord of the Nine, and over eons of languishing in an underground cavern eventually became entombed as her mind fragmented, her true and evil nature now at odds with a brighter and more benevolent personality. Having sustained a grievous wound during the final days before her abandonment, she lies imprisoned beneath the earth, yet to fully recover, in a prison forged by primitive cultures that have discovered her titanic, wounded body over the eons and built a cage for her...whether out of a desire to lock her away, or perhaps being perversely influence by the chained lady herself. Now she dwells in a prison of her own design, having reached some minor apotheosis in her eons in her prison, reaching out to mortals in her moments of clarity when her goodly side can overcome her devilish one to impart her truths unto them...and sometimes, warping the minds of others as her more devilish side takes root.

He who makes deals with devils has lost before he begins.
