Session 42: Some Unseelie things in the Fungal Forest

The Wandering Scholars continue pushing through the forest, and push through thoughts of sleep into the night to find Huck. Most of the party takes some level of Myzelium Infection from the spores of this part of the woods. They travel and avoid some things that might have consumed time that Flick figured they did not have. They reach the Giant Fly Agaric Mushroom at one of the deepest parts of this portion of the Dogwood, and find Huck unconcious beneath its canopy. They grab him and get out, heading to the home that his family now lives in. Once there, they experiment with how to rid themselves of the infection, and help themselves and Huck. Ospreay cures Huck of the ailments and when the party wakes, Huck is up and in the kitchen. Its that same morning that the group decides to attempt to do some research and experiments to help Flick's mom, Rain, and her tree. Rain seems to recall Flick this day. They pack the family in a lamp, with the party, and Olin is tasked to carry them across the Verdent Glen towards where Rain's tree is. Olin gets a few bumps and bruises, but arrives in one piece. The group has a bit of experiementing, and they help Rain, to a degree, where she ends up sleeping peacefully. Olin attempted to Channel Divinity from The Traveler (being in the Faewild), and when he doesn't come to aide, Olin feels some anger come up and start to overflow. This channels the energy he was trying to channel, and turned the infection on the tree killing it, but not destroying it, meaning that it likely will come back and regrow unless the group can completely eradicate the source in the tree and Rain, the thing that dealt the damaging corrupting infection, or Rain herself. Olin cannot control this anger and frustration, and in a flurry of frustration and confusion, Olin's mind is shunted from his body and all of a sudden he is in another body, somewhere else. Meanwhile, Ospreay followed Olin and they shared heated words, and he is hugging Olin, when all of a sudden, Olin starts asking weird questions. Upon speaking to the group, they find that the mind occupying Olin's mind is someone who does not recall their actual name, but was called Fiver for ages in a prison. We ended with Olin discovering he is wearing a blue tiefling meat suit, and escaping from a prison being chased by guards.
