Session 24: Whelp, The Buildings Are Sundered Report
General Summary
Flick explored the woods... well, really wandered a bit, Freya stole his handy book, as it erupted with a little flame. Flick conversed with the genie who granted his wish to gain power. They exchanged a few more words and after answering a question of intentions, Flick was instantaneously leveled up, resulting in a fireball of energy to erupt from him....and setting the woods on fire. Thinking on his feet quickly, as small Rhododendron dragons were awoken and were going beginning to swarm him, he dimension doored away and made his way to Stoney Glen. He stayed with the merchants and found the others in the morning. they gathered supplies and headed towards the Silent Divine -- Olin's home for recon.
Upon arriving in the outskirts they decide to split into two groups--team oo (like the ghost noise for sneaky sneaks... also pipus might have gone with this group... which makes it oop ;) ) and team charm. Team charm put on disguises and went into the small village, and found buildings destroyed, abandoned and the church destroyed. Attempting to talk to one of the people passing by, team Charm (Guen and Flick) encountered a guy who attacked Flick and bit his neck sucking blood.... so a vampire. They got him to stop and convinced him to leave, and he ran into the woods... seemingly in a feeding frenzy. They continued around the arch of the town, and saw a figure in blue (not like them) and 2 figures approaching. They did not go towards the figure when it gestured opting to try to talk with more folks. Team Sneak decided to go to Olin's house, and found a bit of chaos and signs of frustration. They then went to the church--the community center-- and Olin found the Religious Leader's corpse (6 months rotting) in some rubble in the church. They found a few odd canisters in the church and manage to get one free and Ospreay is carrying it with them. Leaving the church team Sneak sees the blue-clad figure, and that they are avoiding being seen by the black jacketed folks. And have started to pursue this figure into the woodline where talking and being seen from those in the little village is less likely.
