You can't kill the metal. The metal will live on. This broach is bestowed by Metallus himself to his chosen champions.
When you drop below 0 hit points, you gain advantage on death saving throws. Once you are stabilized, for each round you start at 0 hit points, you may make Strength of Will check (see Cisum Homebrew Checks). Upon a successful check, you regain three-quarters of your total hit points (rounded down).
